"We stayed in room 8. It was much bigger than what we were expecting. Very comfortable bed and lovely shower. Plenty of tea/coffee/sugar supplied for our stay. Good amount of clothes hangers provided too. Only negative thing was the sofa in the room. It's most definitely seen better days. It was covered with throw overs, which was fine, but after sitting on it , we realised we were covered in small black bits. The throw over had slipped down and revealed the leather peeling off all over. Hence what all the bits were. Other than that, we had the perfect stay. Elford is in a good location, with ample parking spaces. Literally a 10 minute walk to the harbour."

"Loved the character of inside the building. It is having redecoration done but didnt intrude with stay. The room was enough and had a lovely picturesque view. The room did get very warm during the night but we judt opened the window a little. Breakfast buffet was well organised and really good. The dining room setting was really nice."

"The most welcoming place we’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we walked through the door to leaving we were made welcome. The room was beautiful, it was clean and warm and the views were amazing. Owen behind the bar was the loveliest person. He gave us lots of information where to go for the next day. Thank you Owen you really did make our stay fab. "This hotel is fabulous ,gorgeous,clean rooms ,it was a weekend for us as a couple so not sure what would be available for children ,but from what we saw and needed they were great!! Such helpful staff giving us details of our parking the evening before ,which then ment as we got there earlier we were able to use the pass once we got parked up .I would highly recommend here ,we for sure would visit again for our Whitby stay "

"A lovely little family run hotel. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, from arrival to check out, nothing was too much trouble. We thought this was the cleanest hotel we have stayed in. Parking was easy and convenient - we just left the car there as it was easy enough to walk down to the harbour. The restaurant was amazing and fantastic value for money, everything freshly cooked and prepared, so it was no trouble to ask for a dish to be customised to taste. We would highly recommend this hotel"
